World War II & New Hampshire Stories
These stories and poems relate to what was going on for the writers before, during, and after World War II. At some point in their lives, the authors were all residents of New Hampshire.
Authors & Collections
The authors are various individuals who participated in memoir & poetry workshops back in 1999 and 2000. These were held at the Penacook Community Center in Penacook, New Hampshire. Unfortunately, many of the writers have passed. I was very fortunate to get to know them. I wanted to share their essays and poems.
Back in 1999, I was inspired by all the people that I met as a kid, at the mill, and in my family. They were so grounded yet colorful, motivated, sincere, and funny. And Great Americans!
The three collections were originally class books for each participant. I was given permission to publish them at any time and share their stories. Each piece of writing appears as it was originally given to me. They have not been edited. Each volume has an attached PDF.
Three videos display the workshop's participants reading selections from Memories Are Made Of This.
