Bad to Good: Goblins are Misunderstood
Goblins are creatures full of fright.
Scaring people upon sight.
Goblins are creatures we all see.
They can’t seem to let us be.
They haunt, they howl, they seem so cruel.
They’re pretty much your average ghoul.
They appear in colors of full range.
The combinations seem so strange.
They have sharp teeth and sharper horns.
Their claws stick out like cactus thorns.
With eyes that glow and tongue like fire.
They come at you when you least desire.
They can follow close and yell real loud.
They will not get you in a crowd.
So, if you’re alone with no one there.
Advice to you . . . if you dare.
Face off the goblins. You stand tall.
You’ll be surprised, they’ll heed your call.
Say, “Stop at once! I am not afraid.”
Watch their sharpness dull and fade.
See goblins really like to play.
At time, they don’t know what to say.
They’ve never learned but tried their best.
To make a friend and not be a pest.
So be kind to them share a giggle.
Create a new dance call it the Goblin Wiggles.
Have a parade.
Sing a song.
Find a solution.
Show them you’re strong.
Paint a picture together to hang on the wall.
Open the toy box, toss a few balls.
And when you get hungry.
Have a tall frozen snack.
I bet goblins would gobble a three flavored stack.
Find shovels, buckets, a spot of land.
Build a big castle in the sand.
Show them how to be a friend.
You’ll all feel better in the end.
What starts out bad, can end up good.
Because goblins have just been misunderstood.
